Reindeer Experience Day Tour

Drive Down the new Mackenzie Valley Highway, and experience the magic of 3000+ Reindeer grazing on the Arctic Tundra

This will take you on a day trip to experience the brand new Mackenzie Valley highway, which opened November of 2017. You will be among the local people to drive down this engineering masterpiece as you make your way to your drop point. After 1.5 Hour drive, you will jump on the Snowmobile and drive out to the 3000+ Reindeer herd. You will get 2-3 hours at the Reindeer before departing back to the road, and back to Inuvik.

You will get picked up at your hotel at 9:00AM. From there you will start your trip down the brand new Mackenzie Valley Highway. After driving for about one hour and a half, you will reach your drop off point. From here you will be assigned a snowmobile and safety equipment, and a quick lesson on snowmobiling techniques and safety. Once completed you will depart into the Arctic Tundra with your local guide until you reach the 3000+ Mackenzie Reindeer herd. Once there you will have warm drinks and gaze upon the mass amount of reindeer grazing in the frozen tundra. Perfect for photos, you will have about 2-3 hours to experience the reindeer before departing back to the highway by snowmobile, and back to Inuvik.
